Restaurant Week Fall 2014 Suggestions

It’s still restaurant week through Saturday, November 15, 2014!

Are you trying to figure out where to go? Want to go to a place that does restaurant week right, and doesn’t make you feel like you have to rush, or the food isn’t up to its normal par just because its a pre-fix menu?

Here are my top three suggestions for you:

 RISTORANTE MASSIMO
59 Penhallow Street
Portsmouth, NH 03801
(603) 436-4000

I’ve gone almost every year during restaurant week. The atmosphere is relaxing. The service is impeccable, and the food is absolutely done to perfection.

JUMPIN’ JAYS FISH CAFÉ
150 Congress Street
Portsmouth, NH 03801
(603) 766-FISH

The servers are knowledgeable, fast, and efficient. The fish and the pastas are scrumptious. My favorite menu items are the oysters and the pan seared yellow fin tuna.

CAVA TAPAS AND WINE BAR
10 Commercial Alley
Portsmouth, NH 03801
603-319-1575
http://www.cavatapasandwinebar.com/home.html

They are known for their creative menu and wine selections as well as cozy inviting atmosphere.

They have an open kitchen; the wait time for a table never seems to take more then a few minutes. If you're a sports fan they do have a flat screen TV with the games on at the downstairs bar.

With his unique vision, writer/director Ned Benson ambitiously captures a complete picture of a relationship in a beautifully relatable portrait of love, empathy and truth. Once happily married, Conor (James McAvoy) and Eleanor (Jessica Chastain) suddenly find themselves as strangers longing to understand each other in the wake of tragedy. The film explores the couple's story as they try to reclaim the life and love they once knew and pick up the pieces of a past that may be too far gone. R, 122 mins, US
